Key Responsibilities:

  1. Casting Design & Methoding:
    • Design and develop efficient methoding systems for casting processes, including gating, risering, and feeding systems, to achieve defect-free castings.
    • Ensure optimal yield and cost efficiency while maintaining casting quality and dimensional accuracy.
    • Utilize simulation software (e.g., MAGMASOFT, ) for method validation and optimization.
  2. Production Planning:
    • Collaborate with the design and production teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective casting methods.
    • Develop production-ready methoding drawings and documents, including detailed layouts for moulds and cores.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Analyze casting defects related to methoding (e.g., shrinkage, porosity, misruns) and implement corrective actions.
    • Work closely with the QA team to ensure compliance with customer specifications and metallurgical standards.
  4. Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement improvements in methoding processes to enhance productivity, reduce material wastage, and minimize rejection rates.
    • Keep updated with the latest developments in casting technology and methoding best practices.
  5. Tooling & Moulding Coordination:
    • Coordinate with tooling and moulding teams to ensure seamless execution of the methoding plan.
    • Review and approve mould and core designs for compatibility with the methoding process.
  6. Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of methoding processes, including gating and risering calculations, defect analyses, and corrective actions.
    • Prepare and present reports on methoding performance, yield improvements, and defect resolution.
  7. Training & Development:
    • Train and mentor team members on casting methoding principles, defect analysis, and simulation tools.
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation in methoding practices.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of foundry processes, including moulding, core-making, and melting.
  • Expertise in casting methoding design for large-scale steel castings and Railway castings.
  • Proficiency in casting simulation software (e.g., MAGMASOFT, )
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for defect analysis and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of metallurgical principles related to solidification, feeding, and shrinkage.

Responsibilities ;-  We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Head of Machine Shop. This position requires expertise in both CNC and conventional machining, as well as strong leadership and management skills. As the Head of Machine Shop, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our machine shop, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and lead a team of machinists, ensuring that all operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
  2. Plan and schedule production activities, ensuring that deadlines are met and customer requirements are fulfilled.
  3. Monitor and maintain the performance of CNC and conventional machines, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
