Key Responsibilities:
- Casting Design & Methoding:
- Design and develop efficient methoding systems for casting processes, including gating, risering, and feeding systems, to achieve defect-free castings.
- Ensure optimal yield and cost efficiency while maintaining casting quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Utilize simulation software (e.g., MAGMASOFT, ) for method validation and optimization.
- Production Planning:
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective casting methods.
- Develop production-ready methoding drawings and documents, including detailed layouts for moulds and cores.
- Quality Control:
- Analyze casting defects related to methoding (e.g., shrinkage, porosity, misruns) and implement corrective actions.

- Tooling & Moulding Coordination:
- Coordinate with tooling and moulding teams to ensure seamless execution of the methoding plan.
- Review and approve mould and core designs for compatibility with the methoding process.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of methoding processes, including gating and risering calculations, defect analyses, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present reports on methoding performance, yield improvements, and defect resolution.
